We’d love to have you as a guest for 11:00 worship. We hope that you will truly experience the risen Christ in worship here. We’ve tried to answer any questions you might have below, but feel free to reach out to swepsumc@gmail.com if you have any additional questions.
Where should I park?
We are at the corner of Main and Swepsonville Methodist Road in Swepsonville, but our address is technically in Graham. The best parking is down Swepsonville Methodist around our fellowship hall. From there, you can enter through the back door of the fellowship hall or walk around to the front door of the church. Accessible parking is available on the Main street side closer to the front door.
Can I wear jeans?
Yes. Many of us dress casually including shorts and jeans, although you are welcome to dress however you feel most comfortable.
Will I stick out?
We are a close-knit church family, and so we may notice a new guest. However, you won’t be called on or pointed out, and will probably just be greeted warmly.
What is worship like?
Our worship would probably be categorized as “traditional,” but it is first and foremost an experience with the Triune God. It usually involves prayer, sung hymns, other forms of musical expression, and preaching as a way to encounter God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We have communion on the first Sunday of the month, and as a church in the United Methodist connection the table is open to all “who seek to respond to Christ’s love and to lead a new life of peace and love.”
