“Yet whatever gains I had, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ. More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord.”
-Philippians 3:7-8
Church Family,
Along with this prerecorded worship, we will livestream our 11:00am in-person service at facebook.com/swepsumc
I want to thank all of you for keeping with us during my leave. I want to particularly thank Jim Folks, Brandy Elsenrath, David Walley, as well as each person who served as liturgist while Jim was serving with us. It was a very blessed time for Erin, Ruby, and myself, much more than I can say. Please email me at gchristen@nccumc.org if there’s anything I can help with or support I can offer as I return.
Many thanks to everyone who helped out or attended Swepsonville Day!
Maundy Thursday (4/14) will be worship centered around a shared meal and the Lord’s Supper in the fellowship hall.
Good Friday (4/15) will be a service of scripture and reflection. You’re welcomed to bring your Bible along as we read the whole of the passion narrative (John 18 and 19) and reflect on Christ’s death together.
Easter worship will take place as usual Sunday the 17th at 11:00am.
I mistakenly said our Google Meet would be doing a Luke study tonight, but they’re actually concluding their C.S. Lewis study. After a break next week, we’ll resume in the Easter season and begin by studying the resurrection accounts.
Link for Google Meet at 6:30pm Sundays. Please join us!
