Church Family,
It’s great to be back, and I want to again thank all of you for your prayers and understanding during my parental leave. It’s an amazing thing to know how many siblings in Christ were thinking of us and praying for us. I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out and check in or update me on your life. You can email me at gchristen@nccumc.org.
This Saturday is Swepsonville day at the Swepsonville farmer’s market. Our church will be manning a table and hosting a bake sale. We’d love to see you there! If you’d like to bake something, we’ll accept items at the church from 5-6pm on Friday or at the farmer’s marker around 9am Saturday morning.
This Sunday not only will I be back, but we’ll celebrate the Lord’s Supper together. Looking toward holy week, our current plan is separate services for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, both at 6:00pm
Maundy Thursday (4/14) will be worship centered around a shared meal and the Lord’s Supper in the fellowship hall.
Good Friday (4/15) will be a service of scripture and reflection. You’re welcomed to bring your Bible along as we read the whole of the passion narrative (John 18 and 19) and reflect on Christ’s death together.
Easter worship will take place as usual Sunday the 17th at 11:00am.
If you have other ideas or thoughts about how to best listen to God in this season feel free to reach out.
Our Google Meet will continue this Sunday by looking at Jesus’ triumphal entry in Luke 19:28-40 You’re welcomed to join us.
