“My lips will shout for joy
when I sing praises to you;
my soul also, which you have rescued.”
Church Family,
As I note in the video, I will be taking a few weeks of parental leave beginning this Sunday. I’m still here, and will be available for emergencies or even just if you want to check in, but worship will be covered by Rev. Jim Folks for February with the help of Eileen and our lay leadership. Accordingly, devotions will be more sparse and online worship will take place via livestream on Sundays. We will send out the link Sunday morning and also provide an alternate recording later in the week. We’re still working all this out, so if you have questions or concerns please let me know.
While the devotions are on hiatus, I invite you to continue spending time in scripture, with the book of Luke being the primary gospel for this liturgical year.
You can reach Jim at jfolks@nccumc.org or (336)693-5817, but certainly don’t hesitate to call me or email gchristen@nccumc.org to talk or check in.
Our Google Meet will begin a study of C.S. Lewis’ The Great Divorce this Sunday. Please let us know if you’d like to join and we will get you a copy! It will be short readings, and I think it will be edifying even if you don’t have a chance to read.
Link for Google Meet at 6:30pm Sundays. Please join us!

Praying everyone stays safe and healthy!
