9/29/21 Devotion

September 30, 2021 by pclyburn Leave a Comment

“But now that you have been freed from sin and enslaved to God, the advantage you get is sanctification. The end is eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Church Family,

In the coming weeks in these devotions I’ll cover some Methodist/Wesleyan topics. These will probably include:

Repentance
Sanctification
Christian Perfection
Free Will
Conferencing
Scriptural interpretation
Good Works

If there’s anything you’d like me to cover regarding our tradition, or biblical/theological questions you’d like explored I’d be very happy to cover them midweek.

There will be a craft show at the church October 9th from 10am-3pm. We hope you’ll stop by and support the vendors and event planners!

We’ve sent out invites for the baby shower October 10th. We’ll have some physical copies at church Sunday. If you need a new link/copy or would like a physical copy feel free to let me know.

I will be back on the porch Sunday from 1-3pm as well as Wednesdays. I’m going to work hard to keep these hours, and I’d love for you to stop by and chat.

Stone Soup Menus could use some backup drivers, not necessary to make a weekly commitment. Please let me know if you’re interested. If you’d like to get more involved with this miraculous ministry in any way feel free to reach out.

I’m trying to add more detail to our prayer list. If you’d like to add a prayer or some detail to a name or if I’ve forgotten anyone, feel free to email and I will update the list. Those of you worshiping online only can also call me with prayer requests if needed.

Our Google Meet will read Leviticus 5:7-13 and 6:1-18 this Sunday. This continues our study on Leviticus. We hope you’ll join us!

Link for Sunday 10/3 at 6:30pm. Please join us!
