“Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood abide in me, and I in them.”
Church Family,
As Jeremy completes his summer internship, I know he’d appreciate any feedback you might have, especially about his preaching. If you could, would you send any thoughts to jeremy.alcorn@duke.edu and CC gchristen@nccumc.org.
Gordon will be out of town from August 9-18. I’ll still have my cell phone, but any pastoral emergencies can be offered to Ben Wolf at (252)567-3210. I will not be here for porch hours the 11th, 15th, or 18th. We’ll be blessed to hear a message from Carolyn Allen, our Lay leader on the 15th.
If you worship with us in person you’ve have the chance to receive communion each Sunday of the past four weeks. If you worship online or might be absent, I’d love a chance to celebrate communion with you. I’ll be prepared to do that at my porch hours, or to bring the elements to you wherever you are. Just get in touch with me if you’re interested.
In devotions on Wednesdays I’ll be covering sections in Mark the lectionary skips:
8/11 Mark 8:11-26
8/18 Mark 9:10-29
8/25 Mark 11:(12-33) 12:13-17
We will plan to restart adult Sunday School today, 8/1. We will have books available at church.
I’ve tried to work on making our prayer list below more detailed. If you’d like to add a prayer or detail to a concern below feel free to call, text, or email at any time.
Our Google Meet will read Genesis 43:1-34 tonight at 6:30pm. We will not meet next Sunday. We hope you’ll join us!

God bless all of you!
Feel free to reach out at gchristen@nccumc.org or (608)576-0250 with any questions, concerns, or prayer requests
Peace,
Gordon
