“Be patient, therefore, beloved, until the coming of the Lord. The farmer waits for the precious crop from the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains.”
Church Family,
As Jeremy and I work through James in our devotions, we hope you might spend some time with it in personal devotion to think about the ways we me be called to live out of our faith.
This will be Jeremy’s last devotion (he will preach a few more times), and in the next several weeks our devotions will walk through some passages in Mark which our Sunday lectionary leaves out:
7/21 Mark 3:7-12
7/28 Mark 4:1-25
8/4 Mark 7:9-13, 16-20
8/11 Mark 8: (1-10)11-26
8/18 Mark 9:10-29
8/25 Mark 11:(12-33) 12:13-17
In the coming four weeks of worship (11:00am in the sanctuary or online) we will be reflecting on the theme of “the bread of life” and those in-person will receive communion each of those four weeks. If you’re continuing to worship online and would like to receive communion feel free to get in touch with me and I’d be happy to schedule that, or just show up at porch hours Wednesday and Sunday 1-3pm!
Our church yard sale was a success! Thanks to everyone who helped out, donated, or supported the yard sale in any other way. It’s always a joy to have so many people from the community share our building.
I’m trying to add more detail to our prayer list. If you’d like to add a prayer or some detail to a name or if I’ve forgotten anyone, feel free to email and I will update the list. Those of you worshiping online only can also call me with prayer requests if needed.
Our Google Meet will continue this Sunday at 6:30 with Genesis 40:1-23. We hope you’ll join us!
