“For those who want to save their life will lose it, and those who lose their life for my sake, and for the sake of the gospel, will save it.”

Church Family,

Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever
He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood
He loved me ‘ere I knew Him and all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood

During Lent, our conference is providing daily devotions throughout the season. Our bishop did a wonderful job inviting us to lent on Ash Wednesday, and that video as well as the devotions can be found below. Lent is such an important time to reflect on where Jesus might be calling each of us.

I’ve tried to work on making our prayer list below more detailed. If you’d like to add a prayer or detail to a concern below feel free to call, text, or email at any time.
If you are planning on attending in person this morning, as a reminder please don’t plan on arriving earlier than 10-15 minutes before 11:00. The doors will not be open.

Our Google Meet continues studying Job with our intern Billy Sander tonight at 6:30pm. You are welcomed to look at chapters 13 and 14 to prepare

God bless all of you!

Feel free to reach out at gchristen@nccumc.org or (608)576-0250 with any questions, concerns, or prayer requests

Peace,
Gordon

Church Family,

As Billy finishes up this series of devotions its worth looking back on the vows of our baptism. If you have a regular time of prayer I’d invite you to pray over this promise and consider the ways you can offer each of these in service of Christ:

As members of this congregation,
will you faithfully participate in its ministries
by your prayers, your presence,
your gifts, your service
and your witness?

One way to engage this lent would be to follow daily devotions from the conference at the link below, or to pick up an upper room from the church and follow those daily meditations.

In the next three weeks Billy will lead us through a study of Job. For this coming Sunday you’re invited to read Job 13-14

Link for Sunday 3/7 at 6:30pm. Please join us!
