“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery; you shall have no other gods before me.”
Church Family,
Although we’ve cancelled outdoor worship for this morning, our ministry goes on! We gather in spirit today, knowing the power of God to hold us together. Your donations helped purchase over 100lbs of food for hungry children in our community through SAFE, and I’m always stunned by the way we feed and care for those grieving in our community. The clothing closet helps clothe people every month. Furthermore, Stone Soup Menus has not only provided thousands of meals in our community, but is set to be featured on Fox Channel 8 tomorrow at 4pm and 10/14 at 8am. God does incredible things when we are open and responsive to the Holy Spirit. Each of you has been essential to the work of God’s church in Swepsonville, and I have unbelievably thankful for it and excited for where we’re still headed.
Stone Soup could use more drivers if you have a few hours to spare during the week. Feel free to contact me or join their facebook group to get involved!
Erin and I will actually (fingers crossed) be out of town from the evening of the 18th-21st. My suspicion is I will have cell service, but you can call Billy (william.sander@duke.edu and (919)988-0616) for anything general and Ben Wolf at (252)567-3210 for any pastoral emergencies.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name in earth and sky and sea.
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty!
God in three Persons, blessed Trinity!
Our Google Meet will meet tonight at 6:30 and study Psalm 135
Our outdoor worship will be weekly for the coming months, but I’ll continue to record for posterity and for those of you who watch online.
God bless all of you!
Feel free to reach out at gchristen@nccumc.org or (608)576-0250 with any questions, concerns, or prayer requests
Peace,
